Objective
This study aimed to investigate the association of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) and the subsequent osteoporotic fracture risk among osteoporosis (OS) patients.
Conclusions
The use of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) was associated with lower risk of osteoporotic fracture for osteoporosis (OS) patients, suggesting that it could be integrated into conventional therapy to prevent subsequent bone fracture.
Critical Appraisal
Published research can offer valuable insights, but a paper’s conclusions may go beyond what its results support. Critical appraisal examines the methods, findings and limitations to clarify what can reasonably be concluded—and what remains uncertain.
