Objective
To explore the protective effect of Morinda officinalis (MO) on glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) modeled rats and osteoblasts, and elucidate the underlying mechanisms via UHPLC-Q-TOF/MS based metabolomics profiling.
Conclusions
These results suggested Morinda officinalis (MO) had a notable anti-glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) effect, and the underlying mechanisms might be related to arachidonic acid metabolism.
Critical Appraisal
Published research can offer valuable insights, but a paper’s conclusions may go beyond what its results support. Critical appraisal examines the methods, findings and limitations to clarify what can reasonably be concluded—and what remains uncertain.
