Objective
To find out the underlining mechanisms of acupuncture affects the motility of the extrahepatic biliary tract which are still unknown.
Conclusions
In summary, acupuncture has bi-directional effects to gallbladder pressure and Sphincter of Oddi (SO) function, which probably due to autonomic reflex and somatovisceral interactions.
