Traditional Chinese medicinal practices like acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal remedies show therapeutic effects on infertility caused by endometrial factors.
The research methodology involved an extensive literature review from databases like PubMed and CNKI. The researchers specifically focused on clinical applications and mechanism explorations of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapies regarding infertility attributed to endometrial factors. Special attention was given to the therapeutic impact of Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, and moxibustion on such medical conditions. Other CAM treatments explored include traditional Chinese medicine retention enema, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, photobiomodulation therapy, and dietary intervention.
The results discussion reveals that many of the women who were unable to conceive due to endometrial factors and had not found success with conventional treatments like hormone therapy, cell therapy, and more, showed positive results after turning to CAM therapies. In particular, practices like acupuncture, moxibustion, and the use of Chinese herbal medicines showed significant therapeutic effects on infertility caused by such factors. Other practices including traditional Chinese medicine retention enema, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, photobiomodulation therapy, and dietary intervention were also presented as helpful alternative treatments.
