Objective
The current study aims to investigate the effect of Yupingfeng (YPF) powder on immunosuppression, and explore the possible mechanisms.
Conclusions
The series of experiments demonstrate that YPF could improve Candida albicans induced immunosuppression of BALB/c mice through upregulating the activity of IL-17 pathway, suggesting that YPF might play an immunopotentiation effect and giving a clue that YPF may be used in treating Candida albicans.
Critical Appraisal
Published research can offer valuable insights, but a paper’s conclusions may go beyond what its results support. Critical appraisal examines the methods, findings and limitations to clarify what can reasonably be concluded—and what remains uncertain.
