Objective
Chinese herbal fumigant and lotion have been commonly used in postoperative treatment and achieved satisfied effect in China. However, clinical evidence-based literature of Chinese herbal fumigant and lotion for postoperative anal fistula is not sufficient. This protocol is described for a systematic review to investigate the beneficial effects.
Conclusions
This systematic review will provide evidence for the efficacy of Chinese herbal fumigant and lotion for curing postoperative complication of anal fistula. In addition, it might provide suggestions for Chinese medicine clinical practice or guideline.
