Objective
To investigate the various pharmaceutical, food, and other uses of myrtle, including its pharmacological effects and potential in reducing symptoms of COVID-19, anti-diabetic properties, hepatoprotective effects, antihypertensive properties, control of intestinal helminthiasis, inhibition of glucosyltransferase activity, protective effect on oxidative metabolism in hypothyroidism, and reducing damage caused by skin burns.
Conclusions
The study concludes that myrtle has multifaceted pharmacological effects, including antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory activities, and it holds potential in various fields such as COVID-19 management, diabetes, liver protection, hypertension, and as a natural remedy for certain health conditions.
