Objective
To investigate the efficacy and safety of oral Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) as an adjunctive treatment for diabetic kidney disease (DKD) in terms of mortality, progression to end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), albuminuria, proteinuria, and kidney function.
Conclusions
The study concludes that CHM, when used as an adjunct to conventional treatments, shows greater reduction in albuminuria and improved glomerular filtration rate in DKD patients.
