Objective

To describe the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment in improving facial palsy following a traffic accident.

Conclusions

Acupuncture treatment based on Liu Yan's brain-clearing needling technique improved Brackmann's score in a 26-year-old female patient with right-side facial palsy, indicating its potential to shorten healing time and enhance treatment effects for facial-nerve paralysis.
