Objective
To investigate the effects of bilateral LI4 acupuncture administered before intrauterine device insertion on pain perception.
Conclusions
Bilateral LI4 acupuncture provides significant pain relief during both the cervical and fundal components of intrauterine device insertion and lowers overall visual analog scale scores.
