Objective

It has various functions, such as protecting organs, and has anti-inflammatory effects concerning bacteria, viruses, and tumors, and anti-oxidant activities. Water extract, flavonoids, sodium houttuyfonate, volatile oil, ethanol extract, and polysaccharide components of H. cordata inhibit the release of inflammatory mediators for heart remodeling, lung injury, and other pathological changes in tissues.
