DOI 10.1016/j.jff.2010.04.009
Objective
To investigate the role of kiwifruit pectin as a functional food ingredient capable of beneficial gut health effects in vitro.
Conclusions
The potential gut health benefit of kiwifruit pectins was demonstrated with respect to its influence on bacterial adhesion to intestinal epithelial cells (Caco-2) in vitro.
