Objective

To provide an overview of the current available evidence of the effect of acupuncture on anorexia/appetite problems in cancer patients.

Conclusions

The current level of evidence is insufficient to draw a firm conclusion on the benefit of acupuncture/moxibustion for treating chronic cancer-related anorexia/appetite problems. Further investigation in the form of large RCTs is needed.
