An extensive literature has shown that the main route of action of SFN is by its antioxidant potential and activation of the transcription factor Nrf2, which has a key role in the antioxidant response. In this context, patients with CKD, a disease characterized by inflammation, oxidative stress, gut dysbiosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, and an altered epigenetic machinery, may be an ideal patient group for using food as medicine as a novel treatment strategy.

Systematic Review Breast Engorgement
The systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the impact of cold cabbage leaf application on postpartum breast engorgement and pain. After a thorough search of Turkish and English databases, eight studies were included for analysis out of 25,996 results. The pooled results showed that cold cabbage leaf application led to a significant reduction in breast pain, but did not demonstrate a significant effect on breast engorgement. The researchers concluded that while this method effectively alleviates breast pain, further experimental studies are needed to better understand its impact on breast engorgement.
